Topshop Dress, Madewell Sandals.
Though I could probably gather hundreds of pictures from our week-long trip in the Dominican, here’s just a small glimpse into the beauty of this sweet country. I will most likely end up crafting another post or two on all the thoughts that began flowing as I experienced a third world country because I’m still trying to grapple with that feat. However, the Dominican Republic is filled with scenes I can’t quite compare to anything I have seen before. The beaches, the countryside, and the people are unlike those that I have seen anywhere else. I’m leaving a little piece of my heart in this country, and I can’t wait to go back someday.

A little bit ago, I took to the city with one of my favorite people, so I thought I’d post a little photo diary for my own personal memory. It also turned out to be quite a photogenic day. I love getting to be in the city, and getting to live in it is beyond anything my 16 year-old self could imagine. But I love wandering around the city with the people I love more than anything. We hit mainly the tourist spots – the Bean, the Art Institute, and Wicker Park – but I’ll take any opportunity to resort back to my tourist ways.

Just throwing out some more festive photos from the last few days. If you have yet to experience Christmas in Chicago, I can truly say it is one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever witnessed. Every street is coated in lights (and people), and you can hear the Christmas music coming out of Starbucks from a block away. Though finals season is hitting a bit hard this semester, I wouldn’t wish to be anywhere else.
